Julie Leach works with the elements, primarily the wind, to document the invisible forces of nature. Her interests lie in exploring phenomena of transience, ephemerality and intangibility. By facilitating 'nature as artist' Julie creates drawings, screen prints and etchings that express extraordinary lightness, energy and movement.
MA Printmaking graduate with distinction, Julie was recognised with an award in the prestigious RBSA Print Prize 2018. Recent shows include The National Original Print Exhibition at the Bankside Gallery in London and the Royal West of England Open Exhibition in Bristol. She exhibits in the UK and internationally and has work in public and private collections.
Maxine Foster works mainly in the mediums of screen print, monotype and etching, frequently using palimpsest within the complexity of her multi-layered prints. She takes inspiration from her journey through the urban and natural landscapes, finding beauty in surfaces that have been eroded and changed over time. Specializes in contemporary, abstract work, Maxine's intention is to create pieces that appear to have been lifted from the very walls and floors of our metropolis
Maxine is an award-winning printmaker and an executive member of the Bath Society of Artists. Her work has been shown recently at The Master's 'Screen and Stone' 2018 (Bankside Gallery, London), Interruptions Exhibition in Athens and the Flourish Print Prize 2018 touring exhibition.
